Position: Executive Director, American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine (AFRP)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience

Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt

Reports to: President of the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine

Travel: Regular domestic and occasional international travel

Founded in 1952, the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, strengthening, and advancing the heritage, culture, community, and future of the people of Ramallah. AFRP connects generations of Ramallah families throughout the United States and Palestine through cultural preservation, education, youth and leadership development, scholarships, humanitarian service, healthcare initiatives, advocacy, professional networking, community engagement, and national gatherings.

AFRP is entering an important period of growth and organizational modernization. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to serve as the Federation's senior professional and operational leader. We are looking for a strategic thinker, systems thinker, fundraiser, relationship builder, and organizational leader who can provide continuity across elected administrations while strengthening AFRP's professional management, fundraising, programs, systems, and accountability.

The Executive Director reports directly to the AFRP President and leads the Federation's professional and operational organization. Appropriate staff, contractors, consultants, funded personnel, and operational support positions report to the Executive Director. The President, Deputy President, Legal Advisor, and ARFECF Chair do not report to the Executive Director. The ED coordinates and aligns closely with ARFECF and ARFHSN while respecting their separate governance structures.

Key areas of responsibility include strategic leadership, organizational systems and modernization, staff and contractor management, program oversight and impact, fundraising and grant development, financial stewardship, governance support, chapter and volunteer engagement, affiliated-organization coordination, external relations, communications, and organizational continuity.

Compensation includes a salary of $75,000-$85,000 based on experience, a $4,200 annual health insurance reimbursement, 80 hours of paid vacation annually, 40 hours of paid sick leave annually, reimbursement for approved AFRP business travel, remote work within the United States, and opportunity for compensation growth based on demonstrated performance, organizational impact, and the financial capacity of AFRP.
