Unlike traditional certification programs, the Educator Academy combines hands-on experience with mentorship, coaching, and a supportive community of educators.

Choose Your Pathway!

Bachelor's Track

Finish your bachelor's degree while working in a school and preparing to pursue teacher certification.

• Requirements:
• - Associate's degree or 60+ college credits
• - Must be employed at a Kansas City partner school

Residency

Learn alongside an experienced mentor teacher while earning your teacher certification.

• Requirements:
• - Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• - Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• - Must be eligible for employment at a partner school

Fellows

Earn your teacher certification while continuing to serve as the lead teacher in a classroom.

• Requirements:
• - Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• - Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• - Must be the teacher of record and have completed a minimum of five months of lead teaching experience before the start of summer programming
• If you are not currently teaching at a partner school, you must be hired by a partner school before the start of summer programming
